The mental health field is wonderful, but it is severely behind the times in the area of abusive relationships. During my career, I've identified two new disorders that have yet to be identified by the DSM. Unfortunately, this leads to a lack of appropriate diagnosis and treatment for individuals in abusive relationships. This book is to help spread awareness of these two mental illnesses as well as to help people who suffer from abusive relationships.
